Gregg Yeti & The Best Lights are here!!!
We are so excited about the new Gregg Yeti & The Best Lights CD that we just can't wait another minute to unveil it! So it is now available for pre-order (to be shipped the week of April 28), and if you're one of the first batch of folks to order you get some amazing freebies! Read on for details...
You read correctly -- FREEBIES. The first 10 orders will receive a copy of Gregg's old band The Flashing Astonishers' fantastic full-length CD from 2002 entitled On Involuntary Bliss (released on Substandard/New Red Archives) AND a copy of Gregg's self-released The Liver is the Eater EP from last year. If you miss making the first 10, don't fret because we have 50 (yes, 50!) copies of the EP so if you hurry you can at least count on that special treat in your mailbox. AND just because Gregg is extra generous, he also supplied us with a bunch of buttons and stickers, so those are going in the packages as well, while supplies last. Yes, we're insane. But it's spring, and we truly are so giddy with excitement over Gregg's output that it's only right to share it with you! Citified's "The Meeting After The Meeting" available for pre-order! WE Fest is coming!!!
Is it really March already? Today in Atlanta we're having a beautiful sunny day that indicates that spring is on the way! What better way to celebrate than with some new releases. So with no further adieu, Citified's excellent new EP, "The Meeting After The Meeting" is here and available for pre-order. It'll be in stores and online around the end of the month, but you can be the first on your block to own it by pre-ordering it direct from your friends at eskimo kiss. Just click that handy link over there to the left that says "Buy CD." We'll start shipping orders out the week of March 17.
In other news, we're excited to be participating in yet another WE Festival, being held over Memorial Weekend (that's the end of May) in lovely Wilmington, NC. We are finalizing the details of our showcase now but you can rest assured that we'll once again bring you the most awesome indie music that we can find. Be prepared for some new faces, some old ones, and as always some fun surprises (can you say "eskimo kiss shooter?!?"). Join us there from May 22-26. New releases on the horizon from Citified and Gregg Yeti & the Best Lights!
It's been a long time since our last update, but that just means we're busy gearing up for a year of sweet new eskimo kiss releases!
Some of you might remember Citified from EKR010; their self-titled debut EP. The Greensboro, NC indierock quartet is back with its sophomore effort, a mini-CD/LP entitled "The Meeting After the Meeting." Fans of Red House Painters, R.E.M. and Interpol will no doubt be thrilled with this 7-song collection, which will be available in March. Just on the heels of that release, we'll be bringing you a full-length from Syracuse, NY resident Gregg Yeti. Gregg was formerly part of The Flashing Astonishers, one of our favorite bands from the late nineties; his new band is called Gregg Yeti & The Best Lights, and his record "Heart Palpitations of the Rich and Famous" is full of organic, acoustic-based, indiepop tunes that really are some of the most interesting, catchy stuff we've heard in quite some time.
